Mada'in Saleh

Have you ever heard in Mada'in Saleh? I think that many in America don't know Madain Saleh. it's the oldest monuments and the most famous and the greatest lesson for humans. it's located near the city of Tabuk in the north of Saudi Arabia, and include several caves and tombs carved in the mountains for some people they ruled the people of this region of the Assyrians and Nabateans, Romans and Arabs, were connected to the cities a people Thamud who lived through the Prophet Saleh . The first impression on the visitors of this city is the awe and reverence despite the passing of eras long and the loss of her people who were mentioned in the Quran.
Everywhere in the land of Thamud you can see carved rocks nicely and attractive, some within the caves and large part of it lying in the foothills of the mountains many mountains and mid-term and another part is in the plains and valleys. And some sculpted mountains and emptying vacuum to the point that technically fit for habitation and picnic .

  1. Khalid, This is fascinating. I can't speak for all Americans, but I certainly hadn't heard of Mad'in Saleh before you spoke about it during the last class. Then again, we don't tend to learn much at all about Saudi Arabia in our schools here in the United States. Hopefully, that will begin to change.
Have most Saudi Arabians visited this site? Does it have religious significance or just historical significance?
You said in your post that it is one of "the greatest lessons" for humans. What did you mean by these words?
I look forward to learning more!
